This weekend, if you find yourself in need of a celebration between Christmas and New Year’s, check out a block party that will feature some of Salt Lake City’s coolest nightlife spots.
On Saturday, the Central Ninth neighborhood is coming together for a party at about 200 West and 900 South to celebrate the passing of another year for the area and also Water Witch’s eighth anniversary, according to an Instagram post from the bar.
“It’s kind of a no-can-miss scenario. You won’t want to tell your grandkids you missed out on this one,” the post read.
The festivities will kick off at 6 p.m. with special cocktails, music and food, the post said. The Pearl, at 917 S. 200 West, will have DJs to set the vibe and will also be serving cocktails and their award-winning fusion Vietnamese fare.
Just down the street at Bar Nohm, 165 W. 900 South, chef David Chon will be creating izakaya-inspired bites that pair perfectly with the bar’s craft cocktails.
Scion Cider Bar, at 916 S. Jefferson St., will be stationing a wood-fired pizza food truck out front to accompany its many ciders, and will also feature DJs. And according to the Instagram post, Central Ninth Market, at 161 W. 900 South, will be doing a lamb roast.
