NBA fans, players, reporters react to Rudy Gobert trade

Some expressed shock and incredulity, while others were looking ahead to what could potentially come next

(Leah Hogsten | The Salt Lake Tribune) Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert (27) enters the arena prior to Game 6 of the 2022 NBA first-round playoff series against the Dallas Mavericks, Saturday, April 23, 2022, in Salt Lake City.

The Utah Jazz traded Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves for a bevy of players and draft picks Friday afternoon.

And the internet went berserk.

NBA reporters, fans and even some players took to Twitter to react and discuss the seismic trade.

Some NBA players, including former Utah Ute Kyle Kuzma, discussed what the trade means for the Jazz going forward. Kuzma also opined on what the team got back in return.

Patrick Beverley, one of the Minnesota players reportedly coming to Utah in the deal, all but confirmed that he was headed to the Beehive State.

Jazz fans said their goodbyes to Gobert via Twitter, while others expressed frustration at his departure.
