Donovan Mitchell makes a splash at fan’s Fourth of July party

(Rick Egan | The Salt Lake Tribune) Donovan Mitchell gives some instructions during a time out, in Utah Jazz summer league action between Utah Jazz and Memphis Grizzlies in Salt Lake City, Tuesday, July 3, 2018.

You never know where Donovan Mitchell might show up.

The Utah Jazz star’s summer travels have sent him to Greece, the Phillipines, Serbia and … a Salt Lake City pool party?

That appears to be the case after the 21-year-old guard sent out a Fourth of July tweet looking for a holiday spot to land.

Hours later, some photographic evidence arrived that Mitchell had made it out to a party, playing some hoops in the pool.

Mitchell has been a fixture at the Utah Summer League this week, though not on the court. He’s been sitting on the bench, giving extra coaching to teammate and Jazz rookie Grayson Allen.
