Local football players earn MaxPreps All-America honors

Three of the players are from Corner Canyon High, while the other is from Orem High.

Four football players from Utah were named to the MaxPreps All-America team for their performances in the 2020 season.

Jaxson Dart, Noah Kjar and Jackson Light from the 6A champion Corner Canyon High received honors, as did Kingsley Suamataia of the 5A champion Orem High.

Dart and Kjar were named first team All-America, while Light and Suamataia were named to the second team.

Dart, who signed to play football at USC, also won the high school sports website’s National Football Player of the Year award. He passed for 4,691 yards and a state-record 67 touchdowns as a senior, while also rushing for 1,195 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Light and Suamataia, both offensive linemen, signed with Oregon. Kjar, who led the nation with 1,918 receiving yards, committed to Weber State.
