Former BYU WR Puka Nacua records walk-off touchdown, makes more NFL history

Nacua had nine receptions for 163 yards on Sunday, setting more league records in the process

Puka Nacua’s first NFL touchdown came at just the right time for the Rams on Sunday.

Driving in overtime, quarterback Matthew Stafford found the former BYU wide receiver for a 22-yard, walk-off touchdown. The Rams beat the Colts 29-23 for their second win the of the season.

Catching a touchdown was just about the only thing Nacua hadn’t done in his first month in the NFL.

The Orem High School alum now has the most receptions through the first four games of his career in league history (with 39). He passed former Super Bowl champion Anquan Boldin. Nacua also has the most receiving yards with 501.

He finished with nine catches for 163 yards on Sunday. It is the third time this season he has passed the 100-yard mark.

It was accented by a bobbling catch where he tipped it to himself for a first down. By halftime, Nacua had 91 yards.
