New database unlocks the history of an LDS congregation unlike any other

“This is something,” a tribal leader says, “that our ancestors have wanted.”

(Church History Library) Members of the Washakie Ward at the Salt Lake Temple. The Shoshone Latter-day Saint congregation was formed in 1880 and continued to operate until 1966. A new digital database preserves the history of its roughly 1,600 members.
