For those of you who missed it, in one of those numerous video clips from her first week as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi offered an astute comment regarding the “wall” situation.
In the clip, a reporter asked her if she would give President Donald Trump one dollar for his wall, after she indicated no way and declared a wall as immoral.
She offered this observation: Trump's “wall” has nothing to do with a barrier between the U.S. and Mexico. It's all about a “wall” between Trump and his base, a diversion, to preoccupy his supporters from thinking about or discussing the ways he's really hurting them, with issues like taxes, health care (Medicare), Social Security, climate change and the environment.
This is a time-tested technique used by sociopaths to create chaos and confuse their audience into not realizing what their real problem issues are. With about an 82 percent approval rating among Republicans, apparently they've taken his bait. Sad!
