FILE - In this Jan. 10, 2019, file photo, President Donald Trump speaks at a roundtable on immigration and border security at U.S. Border Patrol McAllen Station, during a visit to the southern border in McAllen, Texas. A growing number of Americans say immigration should remain the same or be increased since the Trump administration ramped up immigration enforcement. That's according to the General Social Survey, which has also found a growing partisan divide on the topic. The poll shows 34 percent of Americans want immigration to be reduced, down from 41 percent in 2016. It's the first time since the question was asked in 2004 that more Americans want immigration levels to stay the same than to be reduced. (AP Photo/ Evan Vucci, File)
