Man hit by 2 cars, killed in Salt Lake City

(Salt Lake City Police Department) Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian, who was hit by two cars on Friday morning.

Salt Lake City police are investigating after a man was struck by at least two cars early Friday, killing him.

Police have released few details, but the man was hit on 800 South near 900 West at about 6:45 a.m. Officers attempted life-saving measures, but the man died at the scene.

Police did not release further details on the circumstances of the crash, including whether the man was killed in a crosswalk, or whether the wreck happened at an intersection.

The man fatally struck early Friday has not been identified, pending notification of his relatives.

Roads in the area were closed Friday morning as police investigated. The drivers of the two cars known to be involved are cooperating, police said.
