Box Elder County man arrested for allegedly slipping co-workers THC-laced gummy candies

Police in Box Elder County say a man there allegedly gave co-workers gummy candies without telling them that some were laced with THC — the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis.
The 28-year-old man, who has not been officially charged, is accused of putting the THC gummies in a bag with Life Savers Gummies and began to share them with co-workers. Five co-workers ate the THC gummies unknowingly, Tremonton Garland police said.
The five co-workers got high from the gummies, and some had adverse reactions and needed medical attention, police said.
The man, to explain the difference in candies while sharing the gummies, told his co-workers that he had placed an assortment of gummies in the same bag, police said.
He faces five felony counts of “surreptitious administering of certain substance,” according to the arrest document.
