Inmate dies in Utah prison

Officials are investigating the death at the Central Utah Correctional Facility as a possible homicide.

Officials are investigating a possible homicide at the Central Utah Correctional Facility after an inmate was found unresponsive in his cell Monday morning.

The Utah State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the death of Dale Lee Rush, according to a news release from the Utah Department of Corrections.

The Henry Facility, where Rush was housed, is on lockdown until further notice, the news release stated. Rush had been in prison since 2001, serving a sentence for sodomy on a child, rape of a child and sexual abuse of a child.
