A 1-year-old Clearfield child was accidentally run over and killed by a family member on Thursday.
When officers arrived at the home, near 1300 West and 100 South, on Thursday morning, the child was “beyond any medical help,” according to Clearfield police. The child was in a fenced backyard and “was able to go through a gated area” to the driveway, where the toddler was run over by a family member who was moving a vehicle.
Police are continuing to investigate, “but all indications are that this was a tragic accident,” according to a news release from police.
The victim’s name has not been released.
