Utah travelers soon can fly to Chicago, Texas and California at bargain prices.
Discount carrier Frontier Airlines announced Tuesday that it would launch nonstop flights from Salt Lake City International Airport to Chicago O’Hare and Dallas-Fort Worth international airports starting June 10. Initial fares will start at $49 for travel on Tuesdays and Thursdays as long as tickets are purchased by April 19.
Carry-on and checked luggage fees for the airline start at $39 if paid when booking online.
Avelo Airlines announced earlier this month that it will offer nonstop flights from Ogden-Hinckley Airport to Hollywood Burbank Airport. Its introductory one-way fares start at $19 for all destinations, including Ogden, where flights will begin May 4.
Carry-on bags for Avelo cost $35, while checked luggage is $10.
Both airlines require face coverings and passengers must confirm they’re healthy before flying.
