Alta, Brighton and Corner Canyon High Schools will reopen on Monday

Three Salt Lake County high schools — Alta, Brighton and Corner Canyon — will reopen to in-person classes on Monday.
According to the Canyons School District, the decision came “at the recommendation of local health officials” because the number of active COVID-19 cases among students and staff at each school has fallen “well below the 15-case-per-school threshold that triggers discussions about mitigation strategies.” According to the district, Alta had seven cases as of Wednesday, Brighton has six, and Corner Canyon has between one and five.
All Canyons District schools — including Alta, Brighton and Corner Canyon — are conducting in-person classes Monday-Thursday, with online or independent instruction on Fridays.
