A Utah woman pulled the trigger. A boy died. And now, she’s a public speaker with a simple message — ‘No backstop, no shot.’

(Francisco Kjolseth | The Salt Lake Tribune) Kayleen Richins, who pleaded guilty to negligent homicide after accidentally shooting and killing a 14-year-old boy last fall while she was target shooting in northern Utah, talks about the incident saying, "It's a nightmare that you can't wake up from." As part of her sentence, a judge ordered her to give presentations to youth hunter safety groups about the importance of having a back stop when target shooting.
