Utah hit by 5th minor earthquake in 5 days

The fifth minor earthquake in five days rattled Utah just after midnight Wednesday — this one a magnitude 4 about five miles southwest of Kanosh in Millard County.

There were no reports on damage in the sparsely populated area.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey Station at the University of Utah, the quake was 3.6 miles deep. A quake measuring 3.3 hit the same area Saturday afternoon.

On Friday morning, two earthquakes — one a 3.2 magnitude, the other 3.7 — centered south of Bluffdale shook southern Salt Lake and northern Utah Counties. A smaller, 2.4 quake hit that same area Saturday afternoon.
