A fire that burned down a newly built Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse in St. George revealed signs of possible foul play and is being investigated as a crime, FOX 13 reported.
Police said they believe the fire started outside the stake center (a meetinghouse for multiple congregations), and investigators found no signs that heating or electrical issues ignited the blaze.
Two accelerant-detecting dogs brought to the fire found two places where accelerant was present, according to a news release.
