Police searching for suspect after two stabbed — one fatally — in Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City police continued to search for a suspect who stabbed two people Wednesday night, leaving a woman dead and a man critiically injured.

According to police. they responded to a call at the Dollar Tree at 477 N. 300 West about 9:30 p.m. and found two people wounded behind a dumpster. The woman was declared dead at the scene; the man was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Their identities have not been released; police said the victims and the suspect are all homeless.

The suspect is described as bald, Hispanic, wearing a tan jacket and wearing or carrying a blanket. No knife was recovered at the scene; the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
