Man flees vehicle after driving onto UTA tracks and getting hit by train Saturday morning

Police are looking for a man who fled the scene after driving onto train tracks and getting hit by a Utah Transit Authority TRAX train.
The collision occurred about 8 a.m. Saturday at 400 South and Main Street, said UTA spokesman Carl Arky.
Arky said it doesn’t appear the man was injured, and he had not received word that the man had been caught. He is described as a slim white male in his 20s wearing a dark jacket.
After getting out of the vehicle, the man ran east down 400 South, Arky said.
No one on the train was injured, Arky said, and it appears no passengers were in the vehicle.
“I don’t think there’s much disruption in service this morning,” Arky said.
