Seven Summits Challenge offers expert skiers, snowboarders a difficult day in Park City

Park City Mountain Resort’s Seven Summits Challenge, which takes place Saturday, Feb. 24, is a challenge that has been designed for expert skiers and snowboarders looking for a tough day of exploration and climbing at the largest ski resort in the U.S.

Participants will have a day to get to the top of seven of the resort’s top peaks, including Jupiter, Dream and 9990.

Resort officials say the challenge won’t be easy. Skiers or boarders will need to hike a handful of peaks and be able to navigate some of the toughest terrain at the resort.

Rules state that participants can choose their own routes, but must check in at all seven peak locations on the mountain.

Officials stressed that this is a challenge, not a race. Those who complete it will receive a commemorative pin and hat and be entered to win prizes. Proceeds go to a local Park City nonprofit SOS.
