One of Utah’s best whiskey bars is moving down the street, according to the agenda for Thursday’s monthly meeting of Utah’s liquor commission.
The Tap Room, a Sugar House fixture, is moving from 2021 S. Windsor St. to 2148 S. 900 East, Unit D, the same building as Este Pizza and Game Night Games.
The Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverages Services’ liquor commission approved the move at its meeting in Panguitch.
According to a couple of Instagram posts, the new Tap Room location has been in the works since at least January, and OC&D Design Studio is overseeing the buildout.
The Tap Room’s operators have not announced an opening date.
