A downtown Salt Lake City neighborhood is throwing its annual summer block party on Friday, and this year’s celebration is getting a dose of Western-themed flavor.
The Urban Roundup — on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Post District at 500 South and 300 West — will feature free bites, live music from a country band, line dancing lessons, and activities like cornhole and a mechanical bull, a news release said.
Go on a “culinary walk” through the Post District, and partake of samples and sips from food and beverage businesses like Urban Hill, Sunday’s Best, Dangerous Pretzel, Level Crossing, Melancholy Wine & Cocktail Lounge, Urban Sailor and more, the release said.
The all-ages event is free, but you can get VIP tickets for $10 each, which benefit The Straighter Way Foundation’s Hoofbeats to Healing therapeutic horseback riding program. VIPs get access to “elevated” tastings, complimentary beverages, a VIP swag bag and more, the release said.
