As Christmas music season gears up to descend upon listeners everywhere, one Utah artist is adding new music to the mix.

Singer-songwriter David Archuleta will release “My Only Wish,” a five-track Christmas EP, on Nov. 14.

The new release includes three original songs co-written by Archuleta and two remasters from his 2019 Christmas album, “Winter in the Air.”

Archuleta has previously released Christmas albums in 2009, 2011 and 2019, but in a news release, he said “My Only Wish” is different, and more reflective of his ongoing music journey.

“For the ‘My Only Wish’ EP I wanted to write holiday music that was more in the space of where I’m at in life,” Archuleta said. “I wanted it to be fun and flirty and to make people just feel good. I’m really really happy with how these new songs turned out and I feel like it will be a whole new, yet familiar, experience for fans who have always enjoyed my Christmas music and shows.”

The opening track of the EP, “Wish at the Top of My List” features singer and actor Jordin Sparks.

“Christmas in California,” the lead single from the EP, is available to stream now. Archuleta will support the EP with shows in New York City from Dec. 9-14 and in Los Angeles on Dec. 18-19.
