This drag queen was raised in a polygamist FLDS community. Then she performed in the first ever drag show there.
The event was historic for Short Creek, the community straddling the Utah-Arizona state line that used to be ruled over by Warren Jeffs. Queen Violet Vox is hoping it ushers in “new beginnings and softer hearts.”
