Utah lawmakers say they should have funded census count efforts, so they’re looking at providing up to $1M

Utah lawmakers decided not to spend any state money to help prepare for it, but now are having second thoughts as they grow concerned about an accurate count that translates to federal dollars and, in coming decades, representation in the U.S. House.
