Utah trans girls now required to meet testosterone levels stricter than NCAA to compete in high school sports

The standard is also more stringent than what’s required in the Olympics.

(Francisco Kjolseth | The Salt Lake Tribune) West High School students chant “trans youth are valid” as they wave a transgender flag during a walkout on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 to protest banning transgender girls from participating in female school sports. Utah currently has a commission that determines which transgender girls can or can't compete in high school athletics; on Jan. 6, 2024, the commission approved a set of standards on which to make those decisions, including testosterone levels.
