A Moab resident was detained by ICE. This local family is fighting for her release.
The Turkish immigrant has been denied adequate food, water, prescribed medications and phone calls, according to Moab Indivisible.
(Courtesy photo) Basak Arikan was pulled over by the Grand County Sheriff’s Office on her way to work. She was then handed over to ICE, and has been transferred to four different detention centers in the last two months.
