Utah man charged for making and selling thousands of fake COVID-19 vaccine cards

Fake cards were mostly sold in New York City, officials say.

(Department of Justice) According to a federal indictment, Nicholas Frank Sciotto, 32, of Salt Lake City, sent this image of stacks of COVID-19 record cards to a contact via Facebook Messenger in March 2021. Sciotto and a South Carolina man were indicted for allegedly manufacturing, selling and distributing at least 120,000 counterfeit COVID-19 vaccination cards.
