(Petito family) Gabby Petito, 22, was killed by her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, in September 2021 during the couple's van trip across the country. Petito's parents have filed a notice of claim against Moab Police Department for its failure to do more to intervene when they received a call about a fight between Petito and Laundrie on Aug. 12, 2021.
