Ogden police searching for suspect in shooting death

A 30-year-old man was shot and killed.

Ogden police are investigating the shooting death of a man early Saturday morning.

According to police, officers arrived at the scene of the shooting — near 240 North and 180 East — shortly after midnight and found a 30-year-old man dead. The victim’s name has not been released.

Police believe the victim was shot during an altercation with a 31-year-old man, who left the scene before officers arrived. The suspect’s name has also not been released.

“The suspect has been identified, and evidence suggests this is an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public,” according to a statement by Ogden police.

As of Monday morning, no arrests have been made.
