A construction worker with a company contracted by Rocky Mountain Power was electrocuted while working on a site in South Jordan on Monday morning.
Shaun Robertson, 50, of Herriman, was killed at a lot at 3754 W. 11400 South, according to a statement from South Jordan city officials.
Rocky Mountain Power spokesperson David Eskelsen said Monday that Robertson was working on an underground conduit, which was not energized, but that he came into contact with an energized switchgear box. There were no direct witnesses.
Officials from Rocky Mountain Power and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating how Robertson was electrocuted.
