Inter-disciplinary Applied Approach to Health and Performance Enhancement through Sports Science
It is our pleasure to inform you that Manav Rachna International University (MRIU) is organizing the 7th biennial Asia Pacific Conference on Exercise and Sports Science 2015 (APCESS 2015) of Asian Council of Exercise and Sports Science from October 14th -16th, 2015. Earlier held in Korea, Philippines, Japan, Malaysia, China and Taiwan, it is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction that Manav Rachna International University has been chosen as the first Indian host for APCESS, giving the global Sport and Health Community a golden opportunity to interact candidly in the ideal environment provided by MRIU.
The theme of APCESS 2015, “Interdisciplinary Applied Approach to Health and Performance Enhancement through Sports Science” is indeed an appropiate one as sports competitions in the modern era are increasingly scientific, as compared to the conventional ones in the past. Quality-controlled sports science research can definitely foster a positive attitude, sound character and a healthy lifestyle among sportspersons.
At this International Conference, we are bringing together eminent professionals of sports medicine, sports science, physical education and allied sciences on one platform to exchange thoughts, share new ideas and concepts from all over the world. Around 1,000 delegates and 100 renowned speakers from more than 30 countries and regions have confirmed their participation and will deliberate upon various issues connected to Sports and Physical Education. The interactions would include topics such as “Recent Approaches in Sports Development through Sports Sciences, Health and Yoga”, “Emerging Trends and Latest Technologies in Sports”, Biomechanics, Sports Philosophy, Sports Pedagogy, Sports Marketing, Sports Nutrition, Sports Physiotherapy, “Ergonomics and Prosthetics Adapted Physical Education”, Dope Control, “Indian Culture, Physical Activity and Sports”. In particular, APCESS 2015 seeks to promote and facilitate communication among young researchers and students in the Asian region. In connection with APCESS 2015, 20 young graduate students and scholars have been identified as Future Leader Volunteers (FLVs) from 15 countries and regions, including India. Volunteers from more than 17 countries such as China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Malaysia, Serbia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey and Zimbabwe have already submitted their nominations to be associated with APCESS 2015 as FLVs.
It is a matter of great pride and honour for our country to host such a prestigious International Conference since the world is looking at India as the future super economic power, our sports person have earned laurels in many international games in the world fora.
